How to post your website

You can connect using an FTP (File Transfer Protocol) program to transfer files to/from your website.

We recommend a great free FTP program called FileZilla.

Connecting to your website

• Connect to "host" name: ftp.remotelyyours.com or ftp.yourdomainname.com
• Your user id is typically the first eight characters of your domain name. For example, www.remotelyyours.com would have a userid of: remotely.

Your password is communicated to you when you set up your account with Remotely Yours. Ask for help if you would like to reset your password.

Where do I put my files?

• Post your files into the /public_html/ directory.
• The default page loaded is index.htm or index.html.
