Managing your Email Accounts

With every Biz server subscription is included basic web & POP3 email hosting.

This document outlines how you can access the administrator control panel to do the following:

  • Add/delete/modify email addresses
  • Assign/reset passwords
  • Setup email forwards
  • Setup Auto-Responder (Out of Office reply)
  • Setup email aliases (sales@, info@)
  • Manage spam settings (spam threshold, whitelists, blacklists)

 These instructions do not apply to you if:

  1. If you subscribe to Scalix/Groupware, check Managing your Scalix Groupware accounts.
  2. If you have a Joomla based website

How to access the Email Control Panel (cpanel):

  1. Go to your website name and add /cpanel to the end of it.  For example: www.yourname.com/cpanel
  2. You will be prompted to enter a userid and password.
    1. Your username is the first 8 characters of your domain name. For example, the user name for the domain of companyxyz.com would be companyx
    2. Your password was emailed to you when your account was setup.  If you do not know it, you can log in to Technical Support Support to see it.
